YOUR CONTRIBUTION
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a key professional role in our Austrian payroll operations. You will contribute your experience where accuracy, sound advice and efficient processes matter most, including all necessary preparatory and follow-up activities.You will handle payroll-related matters across various collective bargaining agreements and develop reliable solutions for complex cases.
- You will serve as a subject-matter expert on employment law, social security and wage tax matters, actively sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
- You will ensure payroll quality through structured checks and contribute to year-end activities, audits and enquiries from public authorities.
- You will prepare meaningful reports and analyses to support internal planning and decision-making.
- You will identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows and contribute to the further development and digitalisation of our processes.
YOUR SKILLSET
You have completed commercial training, such as a commercial apprenticeship or a business college (HAK), and have successfully passed the Austrian payroll certification exam.
- You have several years of solid, hands-on experience independently managing Austrian payroll, ideally across multiple collective bargaining agreements (IT, retail and metalworking).
- You have excellent knowledge of Austrian employment, social security and wage tax law and reliably keep your expertise up to date.
- You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and confident using digital HR tools.
- You take a structured, meticulous and solution-oriented approach, set clear priorities and maintain an overview even during month-end payroll processing.
- You communicate complex payroll matters clearly, interact confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and handle sensitive data with the required discretion.

Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to point out that the collective agreement minimum salary for this position starts at a gross annual salary at around € 56,000. We offer an overpayment (even significant ones) which is based on your individual qualifications and professional experience.
